Science of Learning:
The Six Pillars
Not just a theory: the Science of Learning is transformational for your child's daily learning experience through our 6 pillars:
Memory and Retention Science
Cramming doesn't work. Spaced practice and retrieval do. We build in time for your child to revisit concepts at expanding intervals, dramatically improving long-term retention.
Individual Learning Recognition
No two children learn identically. Our teachers observe how each student thinks and adapt instruction in real time—providing challenge for those ready to leap ahead and support for those needing more time.
Motivation Psychology
Genuine curiosity beats external rewards every time. We design learning experiences that connect to your child's interests and questions.
Assessment as Learning
Quizzes and assignments aren't just measurements—they're powerful learning tools. Regular low-stakes retrieval practice helps students identify gaps, strengthen memory, and build confidence.
Character Integration
Character isn't taught in isolated lessons. Students develop empathy, integrity, and resilience by facing real challenges, working through disagreements, and reflecting on their choices throughout the school day.
Metacognition
We teach your child to think about their thinking. When students understand how they learn best, they become independent learners who can adapt to any challenge.
All schools strive to teach children, and children are naturally inclined to learn. However, not all learning has an enduring impact, and not all strategies are effective.

At RDAS, we invest significant time and training to help our students develop the habits, strategies, and tools that enable the time and energy they spend learning to lead to enduring understandings and transferable skills they can easily access and apply in their daily lives and future careers.
